Personal aha-moment: I need to ask for help

When I was a child, my mother told me that there wasn’t anything I couldn’t do . . . I just had to put my mind to it. That’s a amazingly powerful vision to give to a child. My mom built up my confidence and willingness to take risks.
Now that I’m older, I’m learning to accept that there are many things that I could do . . . but other people can do them better or faster than I could on my own. It’s always been easy for me to share my time and help others. Now, I’m learning how and when to ask for help. It’s been an amazingly humbling aha-moment for me, but it’s also one really that affirms me. I’d rather focus and do some things well than stretch myself thin in areas that I don’t know.
Something to say?
